Formal Debate (Jean, Lowe) )

Sat, May. 8th, 2004, 08:50 am

I would like to thank everyone who attended the rally. I would like to thank everyone who kept up through the transcript on this blog, or the broadcast on [a local station] last night. I feel that this was a good opportunity to field my views and to hear yours. I know that there are still many doubts about my campaign. Some I hope to address in a formal debate with Dr. Grey, a well-known figure in your community. I will keep you up to date on when and where that will be, although, as a formal debate, I will not be able to answer questions as I did in the rally. I believe that Dr. Grey has a good opposing voice, however, and the issues she will raise will liably be the issues you are all worried about.

I appreciate the donations and the kind letters I have recieved here. I will continue make every effort to keep my campaign in accordance with the values of the nation and to address those things that people find lacking.

OOC Thanks to everyone who showed up! Great, great turn out, fantastic scene.

The log below is IC information! Within reason, of course. I.e. the Q and A part is completely open to the public and completely accurate. One will naturally not be able to hear any audience mutters or private thoughts. :D

How did we get such complete and reliable quality? Well, Forge did the transcript! Ah, technology.

Hello New York!

OOC: This journal is ICly Very Public. It's meant to be read.

A thank you to the residents of New York City -- I've felt very welcome. Whether you're for my campaign or against it, with very few exceptions, you have treated me with friendliness and respect. You have lived up to your city's reputation of hospitality.

It is my hope that at tonight's rally, I will be able to return your hospitality by answering your questions and your doubts. Please attend, please join in the discussion. Every voice is important.

And if you cannot attend, check back. A full transcript will be posted on this blog tomorrow. I hope that this forum will satisfy some uncertainities about my campaign.
